In Stephen Covey’s book – 7 Habits for Highly Effective People – he suggests beginning with the end in mind, and he’s right, before we can decide how we want to live our life we need to look at what we want to leave behind. The same is true when we want to make any type of change in our life. We need to begin with the result and work backwards.
Beginning with the end is one way to build the bridge to the “Castle of Life” we want to live. It will bring us to our own personal Nirvana – Camelot – heaven on earth. We have to know what the end result looks like, feels like, and visualize living in that life.
So, what is it you want to change in your life?
Will it get you closer to your own personal Camelot?
How do you want people to remember you after you pass into eternity?
What do you want your family member, co-worker, friends, Church members, to say about you after you move into eternity?
Name the “should’s” in your life today. “Should’s” are those things that the world, people, etc. tell us we need to do – You should do ________.
What areas of your life need the most improvement – Mind, Body, Spirit? Why?
Take some time for yourself and reflect on the questions above and make some changes in your life. Take the information from your reflection time and compare it to your reality today – where’s the disconnect?
